Windows 98SE
1. Insert the Utility CD. Click on the START button -> RUN,
then type in the path of the setup program d:\Driver\AUDIO\Setup.exe.
(Note: D: is the CD-ROM drive letter)
2. Keep clicking the NEXT button until finish.
3. Windows will find "PCI Multimedia Audio device" after
rebooted.
4. Click on NEXT. The installation wizard will ask if you want
to SEARCH FOR AN UPDATED DRIVER or SELECT
FROM A LIST.
5. Choose SELECT FROM A LIST.
6. This will bring you to another window, which splits into
two portions. "Manufacturer"
to the left and "Model"
to the right.
7. At the left portion, scroll down and highlight SILICON INTEGRATED
SYSTEM.
8. At the right portion, highlight SiS 7018 and click on NEXT or
OK.
The Audio driver installation ends here. You will see a small speaker
icon in the system tray at the lower right corner of the screen.
Windows 2000
1. Insert the Utility CD.
2. Click on the START button -> SETTINGS -> CONTROL PANEL
-> SYSTEM -> HARDWARE -> DEVICE MANAGER.
3. Expand the line named OTHER DEVICES.
4. Double click on the line named MULTIMEDIA AUDIO CONTROLLER.
5. Click on REINSTALL DRIVER. Keep clicking NEXT until the
wizard asks you for the location of the driver.
Choose DISPLAY A LIST OF DRIVERS FOR THIS
DEVICE
.
6. Direct the wizard to the location of the driver in the Utility
CD, which is D:\DRIVER\AUDIO\WIN2000.
7. Keep clicking NEXT or YES until you see the FINISH button.
8. Click on FINISH and restart the computer.
The Audio driver installation ends here. You will see a small speaker
icon in the system tray at the lower right corner of the screen.
